Welcome to The Electric Light & Power Company, we are an employee owned and operated visual image capture resource. We are obsessed and driven by moving visual images. It is not enough to say that we rent cameras, grip and electric equipment. Anybody can buys these toys. We define our role in motion picture production by our technical abilities to exercise the artistic vision, to interpret that vision to reality capturing onto film or video. We control these tools to capture movement, frame, light and emotion. As a rental house we ensure quality and reliability of all the equipment, as individual technicians we guarantee commitment and responsibility, as a company we offer a culture of professionalism and assurance. And we do it better than all others.
Notes From High Defination Conference
High Definition 24P is not film, and it will not replace film. High Definition will fit some products, in some productions High Def will be the choice medium. However, some projects should not consider High Def. Just as you consider which Film Stock to shoot and weather or not to go location or stage, HD24P is only of value where it fits. Creating a good HD24P project is subject to the same rules as creating a good film project and does not throw out all of the lessons that have been learned producing on film over many decades, but adds functionality that only a digital medium can provide. 24P has many of the characteristics of film and has some characteristics that are not in film. It still comes down to block well, light well and frame well.
